Column and Boom Welding Machines

Column and Boom Welding Machines (console welding machines) are used for welding large and heavy workpieces using various welding processes (TIG/GTAW, MIG/MAG/GMAW, PLASMA, EPP). They are often used for multi-pass welding on thick, 10-30 mm thick pipes. The machine design allows the installation of tracking systems, cameras, and other equipment. They can be connected to rotation devices like roller beds for simultaneous operation.

The machine consists of three main parts: the lower part, the column, and the arm. The lower part can move horizontally along a track attached to the ground (optional) or can be directly fixed to the ground. Horizontal movement along the tracks can be motorized (adjustable speed) or manual. The vertical column together with the cross support rotates manually around its axis. The movement of the arm in two axes (Z and Y), with the torch and equipment, is motorized and adjustable in speed.

This machine is usually used and synchronized with all types of turning devices and welding positioners.
