The standard VSV type is designed for external butt welding. It is suitable for demanding high series production of products using a variety of materials. It is equipped with an automatic latch and a centering device.

Automatic longitudinal butt welding machines enable high-quality clamping and welding of sheet metal and tubes of various thicknesses without prior tack welding (spot welding).

They are used for welding plates, tubes, boxes, and cones made of various materials using TIG, MIG/MAG, laser, plasma, and SAW (Submerged Arc Welding / EPP) processes.

The systems consist of a frame, a sheet metal clamping unit, a guide rail with support, and torch adjustment components. Thanks to the dedicated AVP centering unit, clamping is fast and precise. The mandrel features a backing bar with bottom gas purging. Torch components allow positioning to the desired location (3-axis adjustment) as well as position correction during the welding process itself. Control and parameter storage are managed via a touchscreen display.

*The min./max. diameter varies with the welding length. Typically, a longer weld length corresponds to a larger minimum diameter. The diameter on VSV standard (outside welding) can be customized up to 2200 mm. Bigger diameters require a modular construction.
