AVC (Arc Voltage Control) is a system that can be integrated into AVP welding machines or custom-built to customer specifications.

Currently, we exclusively support Fronius and Lorch welding power sources.

The main advantage of the AVC system is achieving higher weld quality – the system automatically adjusts the torch height based on real-time welding data (primarily arc voltage). Using AVC control enables significantly higher welding speeds than standard operations. The torch is automatically adjusted along the vertical axis via a servo motor according to the set parameters.

It is most commonly used in TIG and plasma welding processes, but can also control MIG/MAG welding.

Description

  • Torch positioning for the ideal ignition distance (touch and retract)
  • Positioning at the correct welding distance for precise arc length control
  • Ensures a constant and stable arc length
  • Automatic welding current detection
  • Voltage sensor for AVC arc length control
  • HF safety function
  • Motorized slides (Z-axis) with a stroke of 50 to 300 mm and limit switches
  • Additional manual slides for the Y and Z axes (optional)

A standalone version is also available. Use your existing welding power source and mount the torch on our AVC system, which can be installed on any welding machine or positioner.
