AVC “arc voltage control” is a system integrated into AVP welding machines and cannot be ordered separately. The main advantage of the AVC system is achieving better welds – using welding information (mainly arc voltage), the system automatically adjusts the torch height. Using AVC control, higher welding speeds can be achieved than usual. The torch automatically adjusts along the vertical axis using a servo motor according to the set parameters. It is most commonly used in the TIG process but can also control the plasma or MIG/MAG welding process.

In the case of two motorized axes (cross slides), AVC and oscillation can be used.
