Roller bed rotators are used for rotating objects (tanks, pipes, etc.) during processes such as welding, cutting, painting, and positioning. They consist of two independent units: a drive unit and a free unit. Both units can move longitudinally. The drive unit is equipped with one or two driven wheels, while the other unit has non-driven wheels. ON-VV turning devices serve the same purpose but are designed for smaller loads and do not have the option of longitudinal movement.
Each unit consists of a basic frame, wheel supports, wheels, and in the case of the mobile version, a frame with wheels for tracks. The exterior of the wheels is covered with hard rubber material for durability and required friction. Each wheel support can be manually moved along the basic frame to adjust to different diameters. The direction of rotation and speed can be controlled remotely. If needed for longer workpieces, multiple turning devices can be set up in sequence.
