Roller bed rotators ON are used for rotating objects (tanks, pipes, etc.) during processes such as welding, cutting, painting, and positioning. They consist of two independent units: a drive unit and a free unit (in certain cases both are driven). Both units can move longitudinally. The drive unit is equipped with one or two driven wheels, while the other unit has non-driven wheels. ON-VV turning devices serve the same purpose but are designed for smaller loads and do not have the option of longitudinal movement.
Each unit consists of a base frame, wheel supports, wheels, and in the case of the mobile version, a frame with wheels for tracks. The exterior of the wheels is covered with hard rubber material for durability and required friction. Each wheel support can be manually moved along the basic frame to adjust to different diameters. The direction of rotation and speed can be controlled remotely. If needed for longer workpieces, multiple turning devices can be set up in sequence.
This type of roller bed is equipped with two wheels on each unit, with each wheel distance being individually (manually) adjustable with a spindle. This configuration is particularly recommended for handling or rotating heavy workpieces.
ON-SP is a type of roller bed with automatic adjustment, which means it can be used for pipes that are not perfectly round and allows for the use of multiple diameters without the need to move the units. This type has four wheels on each unit.
ON-VV are roller beds designed for smaller loads, up to 8 tons. The scissor-shaped construction makes them compact and ideal for working with smaller pieces. They have the ability to manually adjust the distance between the wheels (4 positions) to fit the size of the workpiece.
